"Ancient heritage, inherited by one, but not all.
Ancient fight, a lust for searching, observation, a hunger for learning, for adventure,
a passion for collecting, a love of forests, fields and sedges.”

50000-visitor weekend at HUNGEXPO
Visitor peak at HUNGEXPO Budapest Fair Center for the 2nd time this year! According to the first datas, FeHoVa and Budapest Boat Show had nearly 50 000 visitors after the 45000-visitor peak of AGROmashEXPO at the end of January. This is a 25% increase compared with FeHoVa 2012.
This year the 22nd Budapest Boat Show had huge interest too.
The Fishing, Hunting and Arms International Exhibition is the region’s most significant event among hunters and it is also the biggest fishing show in Hungary. The exhibition waited its visitors at the 8000 sqm of pavilion “A” with the offers of 230 companies of 14 countries. Africa had a main role at the event with a trophy exhibition called “Hungarian in the wildness of Africa” and with an African fish show with the presentation of the perches of the Lake Tanganyika and the Lake Malawi. The 2nd AFRICA EXPO and trade was one of the accompanying event of FeHoVa – civil associations, trade professionals and 25 exhibitors of 12 African countries.
The trophy exhibition “Hunting around the world” of the world traveler Attila Németh and the hunting exhibition of the Sopron Museum’ collection by Béla Hidvégi were real successes at the 1st FeHoVa taxidermist competition. The 2nd FEHOA-MEOE International Dog Show was organized in pavilions “A” and “D”. The traditional accompanying event of the 20th FeHoVa was the archerfestival organized by the Hungarian Archer Association.
This year more interesting and useful events waited the fishermen. A large 22000-liter aquaria arrived from Portugal had a „kindergarden for fish” role. During the 4 days there were several presentations of world wide well-known fishermen on the fishing stage. One of the presentors was the in 2012 at the Belgian Feeder World Championship silver medal winner Hungarian team.
The 22nd Budapest Boat Show has attracted on the 9500 sqm of the pavilion “G” nearly 50000 visitors together with FeHoVa. More than 40 exhibitors took part in the event and presented every part of navigation: motorboats and sailboats, boat equipments, clothing, gifts, navigation tools, harbours, teacher companies, water sport tools and diving gears.
Not only the “terrestrial fleet” of approx. 40 ships and boats but the programs of the exhibition had great success. On the 1st day the legendary personalities of the domestic sailing were our guests: Farkas Litkey, Nándor Fa, Áron Méder and Tamás Kovács. Games, exciting competitions for children, dragon boat simulators and many more were parts of the Budapest Boat Show. The presented boats of the main topic, innovation and tradition, had a great success, mainly the two-mast catamarans winning the last Kékszalag, the Fifty-Fifty. The event’s guest of honour was the Orfű lake.
The spring program of the HUNGEXPO Budapest Fair Center follows with TRAVEL, VitalExpo, CARAVAN Salon and PORT.hu Bikeexpo opening 28 February.
