Fifty thousand people on FeHoVa and Budapest Boat Show
After four days the exhibitions of HUNGEXPO closed on Sunday evening in the Budapest Fair Center. According to preliminary data the FeHoVa and Budapest Boat Show attracted all together fifty thousand people.
On the 21st Fishing, Hunting and Arms International Exhibition this year, more than 240 exhibitors presented themselves. The accompanying programs which took place on several locations besides the Hunting Stage of pavilion „A”, were very successful.
The special trophies of exotic countries, the Carpathian Basin and Hungary, the troat competition, also the falconry and hound shows were great success. This year a Hunting Horn Competition of the Youth was organized for the first time, and Miss FeHoVa was elected for the second time.
In the pavilion „B” and „C” the III. FEHOVA-MEOE International Dog Show (CAC, CACIB) took place simultaneously, where the winners were chosen after four thousand votes.
Also varied and interesting programs waited the visitors in the fishing section. The stars of the stage, tha aquarium and the lure fishing pool, were Tamás Walter with the Hungarian Silver ranked team of the World Championship, Gábor Döme, Viktor Gégény, Aurél Hernyák, Ferenc Koós, Adrián Kovács dr., Béla Lukácsi, Zoltán Szarvas, Szilárd Szilvási, Ferenc Tóth és Csaba Vass. The foreign guest star was the polish Piotr Piskorski, the owner and main designer of SALMO.
On the season opening BUDAPEST BOAT SHOW more than sixty sailing, electronic and motorized watercrafts were exhibited on 9500 m2. The world’s leading clothing and sail brands were offered on the stands, and the organizers handed the diplomas for the winners of the first novelty competition on the ceremonical opening of the exhibition.
The guest of honour of the exhibition was Lake Tisza, and the main sponsor was the Generali Providencia Ensurance C.Co.Ltd.. The main patron of the exhibition, was the Hungarian Sailing Association which previously signed a strategical agreement with HUNGEXPO until 2016. On the exhibition different kind of professional associations – for example the Hungarian Sailing Association and the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice – signed further agreements.
The Boat Show became the silver sponsor of the Blue Ribbon Sailing Competition in 2014. Farkas Litkey the eleven-time champion of Blue Ribbon, presented and dedicated his new book („Amerre a szél fúj” - Where to the wind blows) on this event.
The organizers chose „Safety” and „Upcoming generation” as the two main topics of the exhibition, which was the basic for the accompanying events and stage programs as well. The thirty years old Museum of the Sailing History in Zebegény introduced itself here, and during the stage talks the visitors had the possibility to get to know young talents, like Zsombor Berecz, Flóra Virág, Balázs Tomai, Benjamin Vadnai és Jonatán Vadnai.
